Expect Flooding in DG Khan, Muzaffargarh and Rajanpur Due to Rain: PDMA

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has warned of possible flooding in Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, and Rajanpur due to heavy rain expected in the Koh-e-Suleiman mountains.

The weather department predicts the rain could cause medium-level floods on July 12 and 13.

A flood alert has also been issued for rivers in Punjab. District authorities have been told to stay alert and take all necessary precautions.

Punjab Relief Commissioner Nabeel Javed has instructed district administrations to stay on high alert and move residents and livestock to safer places if needed.

He added that the Punjab government will fully support the affected people and their animals.

Javed stressed that all preparations for possible floods have been completed, following the Chief Minister’s orders. He asked residents to leave their homes if necessary and to cooperate with the authorities during emergencies.

Javed also highlighted that the PDMA’s helpline, 1129, is available 24/7 to help the public during an emergency.
