According to the 7th Population and Housing Census 2023, released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), 29.75% of the country’s population is unmarried.
The results revealed several intriguing details about Pakistan’s demographic profile. The country has recorded the highest population growth rate in the region and globally, with its total population surpassing 241 million (241,499,431).
This represents a growth rate of 2.55% from 207,684,626 in 2017. According to the report, the average family size in Pakistan is 6.30. There are concerns that if the current growth rate continues unchecked, Pakistan’s population could double by 2050.
The report revealed that 29.75% of the population is unmarried, while 65.97% are married. The report states that widows comprise 3.78% of the total population, while 0.35% are divorced and 0.15% have chosen separation.
It further revealed that 79% of the population is under 40 years old, with 40.56% being below 15 years of age. Moreover, 26% of the population falls within the 15 to 29-year age range.

Marriage is a gift and children are blessings. Anyone who want less children should first ask mom and dad why they gave birth to him/her.
what about resources? no jobs, no education, no facilities, but keep mass production of babies going. not sure when will you people understand the complexity of this.
most pakis actually do wish they were born somewhere else or not born at all. nikali jao aur phwnki jao bheek mangne k lye enjoy kro blessing
@g marriage is a gift and children are a blessing (in a rich society). Poor kids and poor parents are not good for the society. So Pakistan can afford this blessing in our current economic situation?. Ask yourself.
We are living in the age of Artificial intelligence. Most jobs will be automated in the next 30 years. Most young people will not be able to get any job in future. Government and parents must think about the future of their children before producing too many kids.
Unemployed kid will be a burden to parents and society. Government and industry cannot generate millions of jobs.
Breed like rats, suffer like rats.
I feel no sympathy for conditions of Pakistani people.
