Apple has finally launched a web version of its Maps app. In a public beta released on Wednesday, you can now access Apple Maps directly from a web browser on desktop or mobile devices.
This web version gives driving and walking directions, just like the iOS app. You can also browse business listings with ratings and reviews. Additional features, like the immersive “Look Around” function, will be added in the coming months.
To access the web version, visit beta.maps.apple.com. Explore cities, find directions, and get business info – all from a web browser.

Currently, the web version of Apple Maps is only available in English and works on Safari and Chrome for Mac and iPad, as well as Chrome and Edge for Windows PCs. Apple plans to expand support to more languages, browsers, and devices in the future. Developers using Apple’s MapKit JS tool can now link directly to the web version of Maps.
Since its debut on the iPhone in 2012, Apple Maps has steadily improved, adding features like detailed city maps, the ability to plan routes with multiple stops, cycling directions, electric vehicle routing, and offline navigation.
Before today, Apple Maps could only be accessed on the web through third-party websites and apps that used Apple’s API. Websites like DuckDuckGo used this method to integrate maps into their platform.
The launch of the official web version is a major step for Apple Maps and could help it compete with Google Maps, which has been a web staple for many years.
