Shoaib Malik Hints Towards Retirement From International Cricket

Former Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik has announced he is no longer interested in playing international cricket for Pakistan and hinted towards retirement from international cricket.

The veteran cricketer has already retired from Test and ODI formats, and shared his decision in an interview with a local sports website, expressing satisfaction with his lengthy career.

“No, I am happy and content after playing for so many years. I have no interest in playing for Pakistan again, “I have already announced retirement from two formats. I have been playing league cricket, and enjoying my time, wherever I get an opportunity to play, I try to avail it.”” Malik stated.

Malik emphasized his focus on league cricket, which he finds enjoyable. He mentioned he seizes any opportunity to play in these leagues.

Regarding his future in T20 internationals, Malik clarified that he plans to retire from all forms of cricket eventually. “I have no interest, but as I’ve said before, I will announce my retirement from all cricket forms once and for all,” he added.

Additionally, Malik suggested that Babar Azam should relinquish his white-ball captaincy and free himself from the burden of captaincy to concentrate solely on his batting.
