The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has raised the rates of liquor and beer by 15 percent once again, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The prices of liquor and beer bottles have increased by Rs31 to Rs120. The Director General of the Punjab Excise Department has issued a notification regarding this change.
Previously, the Excise Department had increased the rates by 15 percent a few months ago.
According to the notification issued on Tuesday, the price of a bottle of Lion whiskey has increased by Rs114 to Rs1173, while the price of classical whiskey has been set at Rs2411, up by Rs113.
The price of Vintage whiskey has been set at Rs2018, an increase of Rs113, and the price of a can of beer has risen from Rs531 to Rs560.
The relevant companies have been informed about the increase in the prices of liquor and beer.
