The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched plans to establish a state-of-the-art safari park in Islamabad, aiming to enhance the city’s recreational and tourism infrastructure.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Chairman of CDA, presided over a meeting on Tuesday with CDA Board members, FCDO representatives, and other officials to deliberate on the project.
The envisioned safari park, designed to meet international standards, promises a distinctive experience for both locals and tourists, highlighting Islamabad as a premier destination.
Technical support from the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) will ensure that the project adheres to global benchmarks.
During the meeting, it was also decided to analyze existing international safari parks as models for this initiative.
Furthermore, Chairman CDA outlined plans to improve amenities in F-9 Park, offering residents enhanced opportunities for outdoor activities.

What about Lohi Bher safari park. Authorities must develop it.
Safari Park !!!
No water supply, long loadsheddings, heaps of garbage, dilapidated roads, thefts and robberies, extreme inflation, no law and order, and……..safari park.
We’ve already sent Elephant Kavan to Cambodia on court order. African lion was burnt in the then Margallah Zoo. Bears has been sent to Jordan.
So I can’t understand how can we enhance our Zoo or Safari parks?
There’s clearly written on a board that Zoo is closed on Court order.
Its cruelty with the children who want to see and play with the animals. My own good memories were linked with this zoo.
