Bridge Collapse Blocks Access to Most Popular Northern Areas in Pakistan

The Mahandri Bridge has collapsed following a rain-induced landslide, resulting in significant disruptions to traffic in the region. The bridge, a critical connection point, has caused a major blockage on the route from Balakot to Kaghan and Naran, as well as the reverse direction from Naran to Balakot.

Authorities have advised tourists to avoid traveling in this area for the next five days. The reconstruction of the bridge is estimated to take five to six days, during which travel in the affected areas will remain challenging.

In addition to the Mahandri Bridge collapse, those planning to travel towards Murree are also requested to delay their trips. Heavy rainfall has led to multiple landslides on the motorway, making travel unsafe.

Officials have urged all travelers to exercise caution and stay informed about the latest updates regarding road conditions.
