The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Enforcement Squad recently conducted an operation against unauthorized residential-commercial buildings, resulting in the sealing of 18 educational institutions.

These schools were located in the Asghar Mall Housing Scheme, Eidgah Scheme, and Dosehra Ground Scheme areas of Rawalpindi.
According to a spokesperson for the RDA, the operation in Rawalpindi was conducted by the Enforcement Squad, which included two Assistant Directors, Building Control, the Building Superintendent, and Building Inspectors.
They were assisted by police from the Banni police station. The team targeted illegal residential and commercial buildings, leading to the sealing of these educational institutions.
The RDA spokesperson stated that property owners had been given prior notice before the enforcement action. The sealed properties belonged to Muhammad Shoaib, Mazhar Anees, Ishtiaq Ahmed, Rafique Shah, Mian Naheem, Ch Asim, Muhammad Irfan, Zumard Javeed Qureshi, Shabir Ahmed Abbasi, Amjid, Shezad Sadique, Amir Malik, Anjum Butt, Khan Asad, Muhammad Abdul Aziz, and Shahid Bilal.
These owners were found to have constructed illegal commercial buildings without proper approval or No Objection Certificates (NOCs), violating the approved plans and the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976, as well as the RDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2020.
