Samsung Executive Unhappy With Mobile Division Copying Apple

The recent launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds3, and Galaxy Buds3 Pro has sparked controversy due to their striking similarities to Apple’s products. These devices closely resemble the Apple Watch Ultra, AirPods 3, and AirPods Pro 2.

According to reports from South Korea, Samsung’s Chairman, Jay Y. Lee, is unhappy with the mobile division for copying Apple’s designs. He has reportedly taken action against the head of the mobile division, TM Roh.

Following the release of these Apple look-alike products, Samsung Electronics chairman, Jay Y. Lee, reportedly intervened, according to an insider report. The company is now experiencing a tense atmosphere due to the controversy.

Lee has reportedly ordered changes within the mobile division to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The similarities between Samsung’s new Galaxy Watch Ultra and Apple’s products have drawn significant media attention, likely contributing to the Chairman’s frustration, who is generally described as calm according to Korean media reports.

Unlike previous models, the Galaxy Watch Ultra features a rounded design, which is similar to Apple’s Watch (although Apple’s Watch Ultra is rectangular). This departure from Samsung’s traditional round watch design has increased controversy.

Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 is the first in the series to feature a stem design, previously popularized by Apple’s AirPods. While other companies have also adopted this style, the Buds 3 represent a significant departure from previous Galaxy Buds models.

To make matters worse, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro has been plagued by quality control problems, with many users reporting damaged ear tips.
