IESCO Issues Safety Advisory for Monsoon Rains

Due to recent monsoon rains, the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has advised consumers to be cautious against electric wires, poles, transformers, meters, and other IESCO equipment during rain.

IESCO has urged consumers to avoid touching electrical appliances with wet hands, feet, or bodies, and not to use appliances like irons while barefoot.

Furthermore, the company advised repairing old or damaged wiring to prevent short-circuiting and urged people to stay clear of broken electrical wires to avoid accidents.

IESCO has alerted its field teams to address electricity-related complaints and emergencies promptly. Staff holidays have been canceled, and all employees have been ordered to stay on duty.

On the other hand, following PM Shehbaz Sharif’s order, the deadline for IESCO consumers to pay their July bills has been extended by 10 days without extra charges.

Furthermore, consumers who have already paid their July electricity bills with a late payment surcharge will have the surcharge adjusted in their August bill.
