The Prime Minister has approved the appointment of 19 officers as Community Welfare Attache for different countries abroad with the observation that the proposed allocation of stations by the Ministry of Overseas and Pakistan does not conform to the principle of merit and fair play.
According to the letter, the PM while agreeing with the observation of the Establishment division in para 17 of the summary and taking into account the fact that the proposed allocation of stations by the ministry does not conform to the principle of merit and fair play, the PM has been pleased to approve allocation of stations for community welfare attaches in Pakistan mission abroad strictly based on merit cum choice (marks of written test/interviews and references submitted by the successful candidates on record), disallowing exemptions to applicable policy.
Police Service of Pakistan officer Abdul Latif has been allocated to New York station, similarly, Pakistan Administrative Service officer Waqar Ali Khan allocated to Milan, Italy station.
In addition, Pakistan Customs officer Salik Mahmood allocated Barcelona, PSP officer Sayed Aziz Riyadh-1, PMS officer Hamza Naveed Kuala Lumpur, IRS officer Osama Idress Doha-1, PAS officer Sonia Sadaf Abu Dhabi and PAS officer Muhammad Khizer Afzaal has been allocated Athens station.
Furthermore, Pakistan Audit and Accounts group officer Mohsin Raza Quershi allocated Doha-II, DIS Hamza Tauqir Kuwait, PMS officer Hafiz Abdul Mannan Muscat, Jannat Hussain Nekokara Riyadh-II, PCS officer Azka Zafar Rana Jeddah-I, PCS officer Syed Jalal Haidar Zaidi Pretoria, Zahra Dastgir Tokyo, Zainab Asad Jeddah-II, Aakif Iqbal Jeddah-III, Abdul Haidar Janjua Seoul and Wasif Rehman has been allocated Bahrain station.
