Cambridge Announces O-Level, A-Level, AS, IGCSE Results for Pakistan

On Tuesday, Cambridge International Education released the results of its largest-ever June exam series for Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), O-Level, and International AS and A-Level exams globally.

The official statement revealed that the June 2024 Cambridge International exams saw over 1.6 million entries worldwide, reflecting a 9% rise compared to the previous year.

According to the statement, over 100,000 students from 683 schools in Pakistan participated in Cambridge O-Levels, IGCSEs, or International AS and A-Levels, with more than 226,000 entries for O-Levels and IGCSEs and over 125,000 entries for AS and A-Levels from Pakistani students.

For Cambridge O-Level and IGCSE exams, the most popular subjects included Pakistan Studies, Islamiyat, Mathematics, English Language, and Urdu as a Second Language. In the Cambridge International AS and A-Level exams, Physics, Mathematics, Business, Chemistry, and Computer Science were the top choices.

Business has surpassed Chemistry in popularity this year, and Computer Science has entered the top five, displacing Economics.

Rod Smith, Group Managing Director for International Education at Cambridge, extended his congratulations to students in Pakistan receiving their results and the dedicated teachers across the Cambridge community for their hard work and support.

Uzma Yousuf, Cambridge’s country director for Pakistan, congratulated students on their results, highlighting their hard work and perseverance. She noted with optimism that the focus on future-oriented subjects indicates a growing awareness of global challenges and opportunities.
