Pakistan’s Olympic hero Arshad Nadeem, who recently clinched a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, has announced the distribution of 100 laptops to students in Karachi.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Governor House in Karachi, where Arshad Nadeem was joined by Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori. The proud Olympian expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support he received from the nation, attributing his success to hard work and the prayers of the people of Pakistan.
“I am deeply thankful for the respect and encouragement I have received from the people of Karachi and Sindh,” the Olympic gold medalist stated. He also extended his appreciation to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Mayor of Karachi Murtaza Wahab for their continued support.
Arshad Nadeem took the opportunity to acknowledge the respect shown by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who visited his village to congratulate him on his Olympic victory. He expressed his deep appreciation for the love and support from all corners of the country, emphasizing the unity and pride his achievement has brought to Pakistan.
Governor Kamran Tessori highlighted the public’s admiration for Arshad Nadeem, noting that people gathered at the Governor House to catch a glimpse of the national hero. “The love and respect shown to Arshad Nadeem is a testament to his impact on our nation,” Tessori remarked.
In recognition of his outstanding achievement, the Sindh government has announced a reward of Rs50 million for Arshad Nadeem. Additionally, the Governor House has collected Rs100 million to honor his contribution to sports and the nation. Previously, Governor Tessori had announced a reward package for Nadeem, including Rs20 million, a plot of land, and an iPhone 15, celebrating his record-breaking performance at the Olympics.
