Special arrangements have been implemented at Islamabad and Peshawar airports, similar to measures at other major airports in the country, according to Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA)
Dr. Saleem, Director General of Health for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), inspected the quarantine facility at Bacha Khan International Airport, as reported by the PAA.
Accompanied by Dr. Irshad, KP Health Director, along with the Airport Health Officer and DTM, the team reviewed the preventive measures in place, according to the PAA.
During his visit to the international arrival lounge, the DG Health KP assessed the quarantine area and evaluated the protocols established to prevent the spread of monkeypox.
The Peshawar Airport administration stated that individuals diagnosed with monkeypox will be transported from quarantine to the Police Hospital via Rescue 1122 ambulance.
At Islamabad Airport, a PAA spokesperson confirmed that disinfection sprays were conducted on bridges, baggage areas, and lounges following the arrival of international flights.
