Where are Those Creating Narrative of Pakistan’s Default, Questions COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir Wednesday said it was the state’s responsibility to protect the public from the negative effects of social media.

“Those who were creating the narrative of Pakistan’s default, where are they today?” the COAS said while addressing the Pakistan National Youth Convention 2024 in Islamabad.

The army chief said the strong bond between the people, the government, and the armed forces of Pakistan guarantees its security and development. He said the sparkle in the eyes of Pakistan’s youth strengthens our belief that the country’s future is in safe hands.

The COAS also had a question-answer session with the youth during which he responded to their queries.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the need for collective efforts to achieve development goals and economic stability. He said the government is focused on public welfare in collaboration with all stakeholders.

The premier said the time has come to forge unity in all ranks and achieve social and economic progress with consensus.
