Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel continued their red-hot form in Test cricket, scoring individual tons as Pakistan took control in the first Test against Bangladesh.

The wicket-keeper batter reached the milestone in the afternoon session, driving a delivery from Bangladeshi spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz through the covers to bring up his 3rd Tsest hundred.

At stumps on Day 2, Rizwan was unbeaten on 108, anchoring Pakistan’s innings in what is shaping up to be a commanding position.

His resilience was complemented by Saud Shakeel, who also made his 3rd century in his 11th Test match, making Pakistan’s middle order look formidable.

The duo has stitched together a crucial partnership, frustrating the Bangladeshi bowlers who struggled to break through on a pitch that offered little assistance.

Mohammad Rizwan, known for his gritty approach with sharp wicket-keeping skills, has been a consistent performer for Pakistan, especially in challenging conditions.

His ability to balance defense with aggression has made him a vital cog in Pakistan’s Test setup. With the second new ball due in the morning session of Day 3, Rizwan and Shakeel will aim to extend their dominance and put Pakistan in a commanding position to dictate terms in this crucial Test match.

Pakistan, currently in the driver’s seat, will look to push for a massive first-innings total, keeping the pressure firmly on the visitors.
