The Federal Cabinet on recommendations of the Rightsizing Committee has decided to eliminate approximately 150,000 vacant government positions and further accorded approval to outsourcing non-core services such as cleaning and maintenance, leading to a phased reduction of posts in grades 1 to 16.
Sources told ProPakistani these decisions were made based on a summary from the Finance Division.
The Cabinet also imposed a total ban on the recruitment of contingency staff and authorized the Ministry of Finance to monitor the cash balances of other federal ministries.
Additionally, the Cabinet approved the merger of the Ministry of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan with the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) and the complete shutdown of 28 institutions across five ministries.

Terminate some ministries also that are the burden on Pakistan – like culture ministry, kashimir affairs ministry, parliamentary affairs ministry, aviation ministry (all the useless and wasteful ministries departments can be given or merged with other ministry.
How about the huge staff of pm and presidents..
Is that required too….Pakistan needs a surgery into these vital organs to remove unrequited fats..

The government departments are flooded with people with zero output, especially Grade 1 to 16. Whole families including many women are employed in different ministries and they come to office only for gup shup.

termination of unwanted ministries and post of Personel Assistant, Personel secretary and peon will make public servents more accessible and accountable before public who pay them salaries and benifits.
But creating jobs by erection of industry is also needed with cheap energy and no or minimum interest rates.
This looks like a good beginning but accountability as rule should always start from the top.They heavy perks of MNAs and MPAs plus Heavy Travelling Expenses on foreign trips by High ranking politicians and Govt officials should be curtailed to reduce the heavy burden on the state.
