The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested three individuals, including a woman, involved in drug trafficking while posing as workers of a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Karachi.
The suspects were apprehended in the Landhi area, including the group leader. During the operation, authorities seized over 1.5 kilograms of heroin.
Acting on a tip-off, the ANF arrested a female drug courier upon her arrival in Karachi from Tando Adam, recovering 400 grams of heroin from her possession. Further investigation led to the arrest of another suspect, from whom an additional 500 grams of heroin was seized. Subsequently, the group leader was also captured, and found in possession of illegal weapons and drugs.
In total, over 1.5 kilograms of heroin was seized. The suspects reportedly confessed to smuggling drugs to students at prominent universities and hostels in Karachi. The woman was allegedly responsible for supplying drugs to students in Karachi, Hyderabad, and surrounding areas.
During a search of their vehicle, authorities discovered various press cards, press monograms, and fake number plates. The suspects have been charged under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and raids are ongoing to capture their accomplices.
