Google Keyboard Could Fix Your Entire Sentences Soon

Google has officially released the source code for Android 15 on AOSP (Android Open Source Project), signaling the imminent arrival of the latest version of its mobile operating system. This has also revealed some interesting findings about Android 15’s features.

One of the updates coming with the new OS is an overhaul to the default Android keyboard, the Google Keyboard, better known as Gboard. The keyboard is on its way to improve autocorrect accuracy. Currently, Gboard only autocorrects words or completes your sentences by guessing the next word, but soon it should be able to autocorrect entire sentences.

The upcoming update will reportedly allow users to specify whether they want autocorrect to operate solely on individual words or to correct entire sentences, providing a more personalized typing experience.

Furthermore, Google is addressing the potential for accidental changes within Gboard’s customization menu. Currently, users can rearrange tools in One-handed mode, Translate, and Resize by long-pressing and dragging them to their desired positions.

To prevent unintended modifications, Google will introduce a dedicated “edit” button represented by a pencil icon. Users need to tap this button before rearranging tools, adding an extra layer of protection against accidental adjustments.

Google will also make it easier to switch between different keyboards with a single keyboard switcher button. This will replace the current method of selecting between languages as you can hold the keyboard switcher to alternate between language inputs.
