In a tragic incident in Peshawar, a driver intentionally ran over traffic policemen at Nishtarabad Chowk after being fined for a traffic violation. The driver fled the scene, and a case has been registered against him.
The injured officers were promptly taken to the hospital, and they reported that the driver deliberately aimed his vehicle at them with the intent to harm. Police are actively tracing the suspect’s mobile phone to apprehend him.
Recently, In another unfortunate incident, a young man lost his life in an accident involving a vehicle driven by a Chinese national near Mehran Gate, F-9 Park, Islamabad.
The accident, which occurred due to a burst tire on the driver’s vehicle, resulted in the car swerving and hitting the victim, identified as Waliullah from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Chinese driver was also injured.
Earlier in June, Islamabad police launched an investigation into a British embassy official who struck a police constable while violating traffic rules.
Investigations continue, and the Islamabad police have requested information from the Foreign Office regarding the status of the embassy official and whether diplomatic immunity applies.
Additionally, a police officer was injured when a speeding vehicle ran a red light and collided with his motorcycle at Radio Pakistan Chowk, damaging the bike severely.
