Fake Police Officer Arrested for Fraud in Lahore

The West Cantonment Police in Lahore arrested a man posing as a senior superintendent of police (SSP) on Friday. The accused, identified as Nadeem, was reportedly extorting money from the public by pretending to be a high-ranking officer.

According to police sources, Nadeem introduced himself as an SSP to gain trust and defraud people in Lahore. During the arrest, law enforcement officers recovered a fake police identity card from him, along with other forged documents.

In a surprising discovery, the police also found a counterfeit Sitara-e-Jurrat, a prestigious presidential award, in Nadeem’s possession. Additionally, several fake stamps from various government departments were seized.

Authorities have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Nadeem and have launched an investigation into the matter. Police officials are currently looking into how long Nadeem has been operating under this false identity and how many people may have been deceived by his fraudulent activities.

The police have urged the public to remain cautious and report any suspicious behavior to avoid falling victim to similar scams. The investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of Nadeem’s crimes.
