Infinix has unveiled its first-ever folding phone starting with a clamshell design handset called the Zero Flip. Considering the specifications, the Zero Flip appears to be a rebranded Tecno Phantom V Flip 2, which is hardly a surprise since both companies are owned by Transsion Holdings.
Design and Display

The screen is a tall 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 1080p resolution, a variable 120Hz refresh rate, and 1400 nits of peak brightness, just like the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2.
The secondary screen is also one of the tallest ones with a 3.64″ diagonal size, 1056 x 1066 px resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. This is also an AMOLED panel similar to the main screen. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the side.
Internals and Software
This mid-range device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC paired with 8 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. This is double the storage on Tecno’s foldable, but neither phone has a microSD card slot.
Another notable difference is Infinix’s XOS 14.5 custom skin on top of Android 14 instead of Tecno’s HiOS. Infinix has promised 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security patches.
Cameras

The camera array remains unchanged, at least on the back where there is a 50MP primary shooter based on Samsung’s 1/1.57″ GN5 sensor with OIS. The secondary camera is also a 50MP snapper, but this is an ultrawide lens to capture a large field of view. This camera can record 1080p and 4K videos at 60 FPS.
The 32MP selfie camera from the Phantom V Flip 2 has been replaced with a 1/2.76″ 50MP selfie shooter which can also record 4K 60 FPS.
Battery and Pricing
Battery capacity on this foldable is 4,720 mAh with 70W wired charging as well as 10W reverse wired charging which lets you use the phone as a power bank.
Infinix Zero Flip has a starting price of $645 in Nigeria and is available in Rock Black and Blossom Glow colors.
