The Redmi Note 14 series arrived in China last week. The entire lineup features 50MP main cameras, but the Note 14 Pro+ in particular may come with a 200MP main sensor in the global market, according to a new report from XiaomiTime.
This information was spotted in code included in Xiaomi’s HyperOS software, highlighting the changes that will come with global Redmi Note 14 models. Instead of the Chinese version’s 50MP OVX8000 main sensor, we will get a Samsung 200MP ISOCELL HP3 sensor, but there are more changes on the specs list.

The 50MP JN1 telephoto sensor on the Chinese model will also be replaced by a 2MP OV02B10 macro camera, which is a significant downgrade. The Indian variant, however, will retain the same camera sensors as the Chinese version.
The rest of the specifications for the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ global model will remain the same including a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, a 6.67-inch 1080p 120Hz curved OLED, IP68 protection, and the same Sony IMX355 8MP ultrawide camera.
The regular Note 14 Pro will have the same change to its main camera, but the rest of the specifications will remain the same as its Chinese counterpart, including its chipset, screen, and water resistance.
There is no mention of the global launch, but that typically follows a few months after the China launch, so it might take place by the end of this year or in early 2025. Stay tuned for updates.
