Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently made headlines with his address at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), quickly becoming one of the most-viewed speeches on the UN’s official YouTube channel during this year’s event.

The speech has accumulated over 160,000 views, outpacing other addresses from world leaders. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu‘s video quickly overtook it with over 210,000 views, currently standing at the top of the list.

Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hussain stands third with over 158,000 views on the video.

It must be mentioned here that former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s video received over 7.2 million views becoming the most-viewed UNGA video ever in the event’s history.

In his remarks, Sharif addressed urgent global issues, particularly the ongoing crisis in Gaza. He expressed deep concern over the violence, labeling it a humanitarian disaster and calling for immediate action from the international community to support Palestinian civilians facing hardship.

His speech resonated widely on social media, especially on platforms like Al Jazeera’s TikTok account, which received over 1.6 million views. The Prime Minister’s Office noted that the address has sparked discussions worldwide, emphasizing the importance of addressing these pressing issues globally.
