The city police have completed the security plan for the upcoming Test matches between Pakistan and England at the Multan Cricket Stadium, following the directives of CPO Multan, Sadiq Ali Dogar.
Over 5,000 police officers and personnel will be deployed to provide comprehensive security during the matches, according to police reports.
The Test series is set to begin on October 7 at Multan Cricket Stadium, with the first two matches of the three-Test series taking place in Multan. CPO Multan, Sadiq Ali Dogar, will personally oversee all security arrangements. Police personnel will be deployed across all key locations under the supervision of SSP Operations Multan, Hasan Raza Khakhi.
In addition to the Multan Police, personnel from the Traffic Police, Elite Force, Pakistan Army, Rangers, Special Branch, and other law enforcement agencies will be stationed at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan Airport, as well as on roads and at parking areas. A comprehensive search operation is currently underway in key locations and surrounding areas to ensure security.
A team of highly trained, armed commandos, including female commandos, will patrol the area around the stadium to respond to any emergencies. According to the security plan, fans attending the matches will park their vehicles at Fatima Jinnah Town, from where a special shuttle bus service will transport them to Multan Cricket Stadium.
Police have instructed cricket fans to carry their CNICs for identity verification. Items such as firearms, toy guns, explosives, firecrackers, cigarettes, matches, lighters, sharp objects like knives, and any metal or wooden objects are strictly prohibited inside the stadium.
