The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled an impressive lineup of commentators for the highly anticipated Test series between Pakistan and England, which is set to begin on October 7 at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
Leading the commentary team are former England Test captains David Gower, Michael Atherton, and Nasser Hussain. The latter’s involvement remains questionable as he is also on the commentary panel for the ongoing Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE.
Regardless, these seasoned commentators are no strangers to Pakistan, having previously covered the three-Test series between Pakistan and England in December 2022.
Joining them from England is Ian Ward, another former Test cricketer known for his articulate analysis and on-field experience.
Representing Pakistan in the commentary box are former Test captains Aamir Sohail and Ramiz Raja. Both bring a wealth of experience and a deep connection to Pakistan cricket, offering perspectives that resonate with local and international audiences alike. They will be joined by Bazid Khan, a former Test cricketer who has established himself as a knowledgeable and insightful commentator, and Urooj Mumtaz, the former captain of the Pakistan women’s team, who continues to break new ground as a prominent female voice in cricket commentary.
Adding to the dynamic lineup, Zainab Abbas will serve as the series presenter. Known for her engaging style and in-depth knowledge of the game, Abbas has become a familiar face in cricket broadcasting, adeptly bridging the gap between the commentary team and the audience.
