Renowned cricketing pundit and former English cricketer Nasser Hussain looks set to miss out on the upcoming England Test tour of Pakistan due to prior commitments with the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
Nasser Hussain will be absent for the Test series, scheduled to start in Multan on October 7th, as it essentially clashes with the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on October 3rd and will run till the final scheduled for October 20th.
The rumored broadcast panel for England’s tour of Pakistan is set to include the likes of familiar faces like Ian Ward, David Gower, Michael Atherton as well as Urooj Mumtaz and Ramiz Raja.
For a brief period, the England tour was facing the danger of going ahead without a TV deal in place. That fear has been allayed now due to a last minute swoop by Sky Sports, who are now set to provide coverage of the highly anticipated series. Additionally, BBC’s Test Match Special has obtained the radio broadcast rights for the series. The network will send its own team for coverage, featuring veteran correspondent Jonathan Agnew on his final tour.
