Cotton Arrivals Slump by Nearly 60% in September

Cotton arrivals in Pakistan plunged by 59 percent on a year-on-year basis as of September 30, according to the Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA). 

Total arrivals this year stand at 2.040 million bales compared to 5.025 million bales during the same period last year.  

According to the breakup of the data, cotton arrivals from Sindh province stood at 1.313 million bales, down 56 percent over the previous year. 

Cotton arrivals from Punjab stood at 0.727 million bales, down 65 percent over the previous year. 

Moreover, arrivals in Balochistan were recorded at 58,133 bales.
