An Indian Airlines pilot refused to fly after his duty hours had ended, causing a five-hour delay for passengers. The incident occurred on September 24 on a flight from Pune to Bengaluru, as reported by Indian media.
The situation gained widespread attention after a video of the passengers on the plane went viral on social media. The pilot explained that he could not continue flying as his regulated flying hours had already been completed. This sparked frustration among the passengers, who then shared the video online.
Following the backlash on social media, aviation expert Sanjay Lazar clarified that global regulations strictly control the working hours of pilots and crew for safety reasons. He emphasized that, unlike factory workers, pilots cannot be called for additional duty beyond their allowed hours without facing severe penalties.
The airline also issued an apology to the passengers for the five-hour delay caused by the situation.

In what universe is this news relevant to Pakistan?
In the same universe where fake pilots run Pakistani airlines while the neighbor pilots follow strict professional codes. Thats how countries grow.
Sir, I believe this reflects poor planning on the airline’s part. While we should strive to improve things in our country, we shouldn’t be overly influenced by other nations. Apologies if my comment is not well-received.
