ACC Sets Base Price for Four Asia Cup Media Rights

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has set a base price of $170 million for media rights to the Asia Cup. This package encompasses global television, digital, and audio rights for several important tournaments, including the Men’s Asia Cup, Women’s Asia Cup, Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup, Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup, Women’s Under-19 Asia Cup, and Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup. The auction for these rights is scheduled for November 1.

The standout event in this rights package is the Men’s Asia Cup, which will cover four tournaments from 2024 to 2031. The next Men’s Asia Cup will take place in India in 2025 (T20I), followed by Bangladesh in 2027 (ODI), Pakistan in 2029 (T20I), and Sri Lanka in 2031 (ODI).

Each edition will feature 13 matches, with the highly anticipated India-Pakistan matchups, ensuring at least two guaranteed encounters and a potential third if they meet in the final.

In the most recent Asia Cup, conducted under a hybrid model with matches in both Pakistan and Sri Lanka, India emerged victorious, winning both their matches against Pakistan and clinching the final.

The media rights winner will be determined through an e-auction, noted for its fairness and transparency. Interested parties are required to submit their technical bids in Dubai by October 30 before participating in the e-auction.
