Two female passengers involved in begging under the guise of performing Umrah were arrested at Karachi Airport.
The women, identified as Patal Khatoon and Subhana, were apprehended by FIA Immigration during a major operation. During interrogation, they failed to provide any hotel booking documents and had no money for travel expenses.
Initial investigations revealed that Subhana’s son has been residing illegally in Saudi Arabia since 2022, having traveled on an Umrah visa. According to the FIA spokesperson, her son is also involved in begging, and further information is being gathered.
The arrested women have been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi for further legal action, where the investigation is ongoing.
