Four female teachers faced serious consequences for their fondness for saag (mustard leaves) as they were suspended for preparing the traditional winter dish while on duty at a school in Kasur, according to a report by 24NewsHD TV on Friday.
The teachers had left their duties to gather mustard leaves from a nearby field and began cutting them during school hours.
A bystander secretly recorded the incident and uploaded the video on social media.
After the video went viral, the District Education Officer (DEO) of Kasur immediately suspended all four teachers and summoned them for an in-person meeting.
