Pakistan Spin Duo Achieve Unique Feat in Test Cricket

Pakistan’s spin duo of Sajid Khan and Noman Ali achieved a unique feat during their side’s second test win against England in Multan.

Noman with 11 wickets across two innings and Sajid with his 9 became only the second Pakistani duumvirate to take all 20 wickets in a test match. It was only the 7th instance of such a feat being achieved in the recorded history of test cricket with the last one occurring way back in 1972.

Australian pair Hugh Trumble and Monty Noble laid the foundation for the record in 1902 against England before George Hirst and Colin Blythe returned the favor in 1909. South Africa’s Bert Vogler and Aubrey Faulkner were up next, taking all 20 English wickets in 1910. Jim Laker and Tony Lock would join the club in 1956 with the off-spiner Laker taking a remarkable 19 of the total 20 wickets on offer.
