Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the “Punjab Dhee Rani – Sab Say Achi Sab Say Sayani (Daughter of Punjab – Best of All, Wisest of All) Scheme,” according to a report by 24NewsHD TV.
Under this initiative, every newlywed couple will receive Rs100,000 via ATM as ‘salami,’ along with a meal served to around 20 guests.
Each couple will also be provided with essential items such as furniture, crockery, clothes, and other household necessities.
Eligible individuals can apply for mass weddings through the online portal at CMP.Punjab.gov.pk.
The chief minister has also instructed the establishment of a helpline (1312) to assist couples interested in participating in the mass weddings.
To ensure transparency, special teams will visit the homes of successful applicants for verification.
