Pakistan Recall Talented Pacer for Australia Series

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to recall Mohammad Hasnain for the upcoming series against Australia next month.

Hasnain has been knocking on the selector’s door for a while with his impressive performances in Pakistan’s domestic cricket leaving little doubt in anyone’s mind. He recently finished as the leading wicket-taker in the Champions One-Day Cup with 17 scalps, 7 more than the second-placed Jahandad Khan.

With Australian wickets already suiting pace bowlers, Hasnain is likely to slot right into Pakistan’s playing XI alongside Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf.

Mohammad Hasnain was slated to become one of the mainstays of Pakistan’s pace battery before an illegal bowling action derailed his promising career which was further hampered by an injury. Now back in his element, he returns to a country where his action troubles first began.

A veteran of 36 international fixtures, the 24-year-old will be hoping to make use of this opportunity to establish himself in the international team.

PCB is likely to introduce a host of changes to the team leaving for Australia under the stewardship of Aaqib Javed.

Pakistan will play 3 ODIs and 3 T2oIs against the Aussies on their turf beginning November 4th.
