Pakistan’s Rameez Ibrahim has added the Men’s Physique Category gold medal at the 2024 Mr. Universe competition to his stellar resume.
The competition was organized by the World Fitness Federation in Las Vegas, USA with the prestigious event seeing the participation of bodybuilders from over 45 countries, including Australia, South Africa, England, USA, and Canada, among many others.
With his Gold medal, Rameez Ibrahim also earned a pro card in the Physique category, marking a significant milestone in his bodybuilding career.
Following his victory, Rameez took to Instagram to address critics who had doubted his ability to achieve such a high honor on the world stage.
In an earlier interview with a Pakistani sports channel, Rameez had expressed the challenges he faced in securing his entry into the competition, lamenting the lack of support. “I didn’t have any backing to get my name registered in this competition,” he shared. “Alhamdulillah, I finally made it, and now I’m preparing myself to win another title for my country.”
He stuck to his word, delivering on his promise to win the whole thing.
Rameez already made history for Pakistan in bodybuilding back in 20222 when he became the first Pakistani to win three world titles in a competition that took place in Thailand.
However, despite these achievements, he noted the lack of recognition in his home country for his efforts. “It’s obviously disappointing not to get recognition, but I will continue to represent Pakistan with pride,” he said, adding that this latest victory is just one step toward further accomplishments on the international stage.
