Huawei Nova 13 series became official in China yesterday, including the vanilla Nova 13 as well as the Nova 13 Pro, at least for now. These are high-end phones, especially the Nova 13 Pro, but not quite flagship level.
Design and Display

Huawei’s Nova 13 boasts a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1084 x 2412 resolution. Users can expect smooth visuals thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate and highly responsive touch interaction with a 300Hz touch sampling rate. Eye comfort is addressed with 1,440 Hz PWM dimming, and security is provided by an embedded fingerprint sensor.
The Pro model has a similarly sized 6.76-inch panel, but this is an LTPO OLED panel with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and higher 2,160Hz PWM dimming. The resolution is also tweaked to 1224 x 2776 but with the same 300Hz touch sampling rate for a quick response time.
Internals and Software
As per usual, Huawei has not revealed the chipsets powering these devices, but there are plenty of storage options to choose from including 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB variants. Both phones have the same storage variants, but the RAM capacity was not revealed.
The phones boot HarmonyOS 4.2.
Cameras

The standard Nova 13 has a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50MP main lens with an f/1.9 aperture and an 8 MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture. Selfie enthusiasts will appreciate the 60MP front-facing camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
The Pro model has a variable aperture on its 50MP main camera, a 12MP 3x telephoto shooter, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. Both phones are capable of 4K video recording.
But the real standout camera is on the front. The main 60MP selfie shooter is shared with the vanilla Nova 13, but there is also an 8MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, which virtually does not exist on any other modern smartphone.
Battery and Pricing
Battery specifications are no different between the two phones, those being a 5,000 mAh battery alongside super fast 100W wired charging, but no wireless charging support.
The starting price for Huawei Nova 13 and 13 Pro in China is $378 and $519 respectively. It is unclear when these phones will launch in the international market.
