Rawalpindi SP Beenish Fatima Receives Prestigious Global Police Award

Rawalpindi’s Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Superintendent of Police (SP) Beenish Fatima has been awarded the ‘2024 IACP 40 Under 40’ award by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). This prestigious recognition is given annually to 40 police officers under the age of 40, selected from a large pool of global nominations.

The award ceremony was in Boston, where SP Fatima, who serves in Rawalpindi, was recognized for her outstanding leadership and contributions to the law enforcement profession. She was among the select group of officers from around the world to receive this honor from the IACP president during the event, which celebrates young and talented police leaders.

According to the IACP, the awardees are chosen for their exemplary leadership, commitment to community service, and dedication to advancing the law enforcement profession globally.

Following her achievement, Punjab Police expressed pride on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating, “Proud moment for Pakistan!” The message highlighted SP Beenish Fatima’s distinction as the only officer from Pakistan to be selected for this international award.

Punjab’s Inspector General of Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, also lauded Fatima’s accomplishment, calling her a “valuable asset to Punjab Police.” He commended her for bringing honor to Pakistan on the global stage.

SP Fatima is also celebrated for being the first woman to serve as the Chief Traffic Officer in Rawalpindi, marking another milestone in her trailblazing career.
