An international magazine “UNIPATH” has praised the leadership of Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, in its latest issue. The publication has highlighted his significant role in maintaining the nation’s security during challenging times.
In its commentary, UNIPATH notes, “Chief of Army Staff Gen. Syed Asim Munir upholds Pakistani security through turbulent times.” The magazine added that General Munir, who assumed command in November 2022, is recognized as a leader deeply committed to the security, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan.
It further stated that he has successfully navigated a path that includes both firm military actions against extremist groups and strategic military diplomacy.
General Munir has notably focused on countering the Tehrik-i Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which is also referred to as Fitna al Khawarij. According to the publication, under his guidance, the military has conducted 22,409 intelligence-based operations against terrorist elements and their supporters from November 2022 through July 2024.
These operations have led to the elimination of 398 terrorists, including 31 high-value targets, reinforcing the army’s commitment to eradicating terrorism in the region.
