Game Lineup Announced For EVO France 2025

The official lineup for the 6 games whose championships will be decided at the inaugural EVO France event were announced yesterday as part of a highly anticipated reveal.

The first ever EVO France Champions of Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear Strive, Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves, DragonBall FighterZ, and GranBlue Fantasy Versus: Rising will be decided next year. The inaugural EVO France will be held in the city of Nice from October 10-12 2025.

This incursion into Europe is part of a growing move by the people at EVO to have more world-class level fighting game events the world over. EVO Vegas and EVO Japan are already two of the biggest events on the calendar for competitive fighting games, and EVO is looking to add to its slate of events with not only EVO France but with EVO Los Angeles and EVO Singapore as well.

Tekken 8’s continued presence on the EVO circuit is due in no small part to the excitement brought to it by the emergence of Pakistan on the Tekken scene over the past few years. Arslan Ash is already one of the biggest names in EVO and Tekken history.

Street Fighter has also had a long and storied history at the event with happenings such as the fabled EVO moment 37 being the stuff of legend. Guilty Gear Strive and Dragon Ball Z not only have been some of the most popular games on the EVO circuit of late but enjoy a strong following in France as well, making for the perfect additions to the lineup. GranBlue adds an air of mystique, while Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves will mark a triumphant return of a long-awaited franchise to a competitive environment.
