The federal cabinet’s decision for approval of the Hajj policy through a circulation summary has been withdrawn and will now be reviewed in the next cabinet meeting, insider sources told ProPakistani.
Sources said Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed that the policy be fully vetted by the cabinet in person after a federal minister raised objections to the circulation method, sparking opposition.
Initially, the Hajj policy’s approval was set to proceed through a summary circulated among cabinet members. However, due to the absence of the relevant minister in the last cabinet meeting and the subsequent objections, the Prime Minister decided the matter should be discussed in a formal meeting for a thorough review.
