Indian Woman Crosses Border to Marry Lahori Man

In a heartwarming tale that transcends borders, an Indian woman from Bhopal has traveled to Lahore to marry her Pakistani partner, defying obstacles to fulfill her love. Nida and her husband Fahad, a resident of Lahore, tied the knot through a court marriage, symbolizing a bond that blossomed from friendship on social media into a profound connection.

Their love story began online and soon grew into something deeper, prompting Nida to cross the India-Pakistan border. The couple solemnized their marriage at the Lahore Sessions Court, where Nida shared her joy, expressing, “I always wanted to come to Pakistan, and now I plan to apply for citizenship.”

Highlighting her experience, Nida remarked that aside from the border, she felt no real difference between the two countries. “Everything seems just the same,” she added. Ali Akbar, the lawyer representing the couple, said Nida is elated to be in Pakistan, and they are working to grant her citizenship under the Citizenship Act.
