New Zealand’s remarakble turnarounf after a 2-0 series loss in Sri Lanka has been nothing short of astonishing as they firstly won their 3rd Test in India ever in the first Test. With India requiring only 147 runs in the fourth innings, they suffered yet another batting collapse, which has been a main theme in this Test series. Rishabh Pant did put on a fightback for the Men in Blue with a brilliant 64 runs innings but that wasn’t enough as Indian batters were unable to play Ajaz Patel and Glenn Phillips.

As a result of this loss, India’s chances of qualifying for the World Test Championship have taken a major hit. They need to win 4 of their last 5 Test matches, all against Australia, in order to qualify for their third consecutive final.

Meanwhile, New Zealand have a three-match series against England. They will require another three wins to get a chance to make their second WTC final.
