Orient Express LDI is proud to announce its top achievement at the “Telecom Cyber Security Awards 2024,” organized by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The awards ceremony, held in Islamabad, honored Orient Express LDI for its exceptional performance in Category III, outperforming 58 medium and LDI operators and earning the first position among all Category III operators.
This recognition comes after PTA’s extensive audit and revalidation activities, which highlighted Orient Express LDI’s exceptional compliance with the Critical Telecom Data and Infrastructure Security Regulations (CTDISR). This annual assessment by the PTA evaluates operators on their adherence to essential security protocols to safeguard the national telecom infrastructure.
Orient Pakistan CEO, Mr. Imran Abbas Bokhari, received the award on behalf of the company from the Minister of State for IT & Telecom. The awards ceremony was attended by prominent officials, including the Minister of State for IT & Telecom, Chairman PTA, key leaders from the telecom and tech sectors, including CEOs, CTOs, Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and the Cyber Security Auditing firms.
CEO Orient Express LDI, shared his insights on the achievement: “This award is a testament to the tireless efforts and dedication of our whole team. Since we embarked on our Cyber Security deployment journey in 2020, we have matured and continuously improved on the cyber Security fronts. Through the conduct of three comprehensive audits, we have enhanced our processes and fortified our defenses day by day.
After completing the first 20 years of our LDI license tenure, Orient Express LDI has been awarded the LDI license for the next 20 years. During the license renewal, we stood out as the only company with no outstanding dues to the Pakistan Telecom Authority. I am excited to inform you that HB International Investments, the parent company of Orient Express LDI and other telecom companies in Pakistan, is committed to further invest in the telecom and IT sectors in Pakistan. This commitment underscores HB Group’s continuous drive for innovation and growth in the industry.”
