Blue World City and Chinese Consortium Seal the Deal to Develop State-of-the-Art Technology Park

In continuation of the MoU signed with China Rail in Beijing, China, last month, a Chinese delegation of eight different companies led by Shanghai Yuanhe Investments spent a week visiting Blue World City Islamabad.

The purpose of their visit was to finalize a Memorandum of Understanding with Blue World City, which was represented by Mr. Saad Nazir, Chairman, and Mr. Nadeem Ejaz, Chief Executive. Dr. Ma ChengLiang, Chairman of Shanghai Yuanhe Investments, signed on behalf of the Chinese consortium. Notable figures from the real estate and technology sectors attended this signing ceremony.

The delegation consisted of over 21 members from eight different consortiums. During the event, Mr Saad Nazir expressed his gratitude towards the Chinese visitors and acknowledged Eng. Dr. Shahid Mehmud and Mr. Fareed Zaka Bajwa for their roles in facilitating this partnership. He remarked on the fortune of having visionary partners to advance their mutual goals.

Eng. Dr. Shahid Mehmud, on the Occasion, shared his interest and excitement for being introduced to Blue World City. He welcomed the Chinese delegation and said: “I visited China many years ago and witnessed its remarkable transformation firsthand. Throughout my associations with numerous global institutions, none have provided me with the profound insights and learning that I gained from China.”

Additionally, the Chinese representatives shared their excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the strategic importance of their investment in Blue World City and their commitment to contributing to its development.

Yuanhe Investments will lead the consortium of Chinese companies. They will help Blue World City with the development of a master plan for Blue World Technology Park in the area next to the M2 Motorway, the modular construction of mixed-use rise buildings in the Technology Park and the construction of 500 houses.

Notably, this partnership marks a significant advancement in the business relationship between China and Pakistan and paves the way for further Chinese investments in Blue World City and Pakistan at large.
