Dense smog near the Hiran Minar Interchange in Sheikhupura led to multiple vehicle collisions, leaving five people injured.
Rescue officials reported that low visibility on the motorway, caused by smog, triggered the accident. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital after receiving first aid. The incident also resulted in significant vehicle damage.
Rescue 1122 and Motorway Police are conducting operations at the site.
Traffic flow on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway near Hiran Minar Interchange has been affected by these collisions. The Motorway Police stated that the road will reopen for traffic as soon as rescue work concludes.
