In a remarkable showcase of skill and resilience, Pakistan’s rising tennis stars Ahmad Nael Qureshi and Bilal Asim have secured the Boys’ Doubles title at ITF J-60 in Riyadh beating Issah Ali (KSA) & Jacob Shen (HK) 7-5, 7-5.
Representing Ace Tennis Academy, the talented pair displayed excellent teamwork and strategy, defeating their opponents.
Their win means the budding tennis stars have won two tournaments back-to-back after earlier taking home the ITF J-30 crown in the same city.
Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi offered heartfelt congratulations to both players, expressing confidence in their ability to sustain this momentum into the finals. Secretary General Col. Zia-ud-din Tufail (R) also commended their impressive performance, urging the young talents to remain focused going forward.
Ahmad Nael Qureshi Bilal Asim is also the top two-rated players in the Junior ITF rankings from Pakistan. Ahmad is ranked 746th in the world with Bilal ranked 1180th. The duo, born in 2006, have plenty of time to make their mark in the junior category before thinking of leaping the majors.
Meanwhile, in the singles category, Ahmad Nael Qureshi and Bilal Asim were on the collision course before losing their respective semi-finals.
Ahmad was beaten by Issah Ali while Jakub Smejcky overcame Bilal in the other game.
