Govt Announces Hajj Application Submission Date

The federal government has officially announced that applications for Hajj 2025 under the government scheme will open on November 18, as confirmed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Prospective pilgrims can submit their applications at designated banks from November 18 to December 3.

An extended deadline of December 6 is available for those who already hold valid passports. The payment process will be completed in three installments. Applicants must submit an initial amount of Rs. 200,000 along with their application. For those selected in the draw, a second payment of Rs. 400,000 will be required, with the remaining balance to be paid by February 10, 2025.

Additional charges will apply for sacrificial animals and for double or triple occupancy room options. Preference will be given to first-time applicants under the regular government scheme, and the draw is scheduled for December 6. The estimated total Hajj expenses range from Rs. 10,75,000 to Rs. 11,75,000.

Applicants must meet specific criteria, including physical and mental health standards in line with Saudi regulations, and those born before February 12, 2013, are eligible to apply. A medical certificate is mandatory.

Overseas Pakistanis can download medical certificate forms from the Ministry’s website. Those who are still applying for passports may submit a provisional or “token” application.

Additionally, women can now travel without a Mahram but must indicate their family status on the application. The entire application process and fee submission are accessible online, simplifying access for applicants across Pakistan.
