Pakistan’s unemployment rate has reached 6.3 percent and youth aged 15-34 are the most affected, according to the Secretary of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.
He shared this information during an online briefing to the National Assembly Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development chaired by Junaid Akbar on Thursday.
The secretary advocated for the significance of remittances from overseas Pakistanis as a vital source of income for the country. He also highlighted the ministry’s potential to contribute significantly to the country’s development.
