Lahore Qalandars Innings

Sent to bat after losing the toss, the Qalandars struggled to build momentum, managing only 125 all out in 19.2 overs. Tom Abell provided a lone resistance, scoring a gritty 48 off 45 balls, while Adam Rossington chipped in with a quick 25 off 19.

The Warriors’ bowling attack, led by Devon Pretorius, dismantled Lahore’s lineup. Guyana Amazon Warriors Chase

Chasing a modest target of 126, the Warriors made steady progress, reaching 129/4 in 17.5 overs. Shai Hope anchored the innings with an unbeaten 45 off 43 balls, while Romario Shepherd sealed the win with a blistering 27 not out off 13 balls, including some late fireworks.

Moeen Ali and Roston Chase contributed 17 off 19 and 15 off 9, respectively, to keep the chase on track. Despite a valiant effort from Asif Afridi (3-0-13-1) and Salman (3.5-0-35-2), the Qalandars couldn’t defend their low total.

Player of the Match

Devon Pretorius earned the Player of the Match honors for his outstanding bowling performance, taking 4 wickets for just 21 runs to set up the Warriors’ victory.

This comprehensive win gives Guyana a strong start in the tournament, leaving the Lahore Qalandars with plenty to address ahead of their next game.
